There’s something about spring weather that makes me want to sit under a cozy blanket and knit. Maybe it’s the dreary skies, or the sound of rain on the roof, or the fact that absolutely everything outside is graced with a thick coat of mud, making it difficult to work outdoors.
Whatever the reason, I’m always searching for an excuse to sit and knit.
Several of our friends are having babies this year and I’m just so psyched to have an excuse to seek out newborn knitting patterns! I love giving unique handmade gifts, so I found a whole slew of awesome newborn knitting patterns on Etsy and wanted to share them with you all!
This is one of the cutest baby hats I’ve ever seen, ever… and I frequently create knitting patterns! I adore this hat, especially the cute little comb on the top! This would be the perfect gift for a chicken keeper and their little chicken!
This adorable bee blanket is the perfect gift for your favorite farm baby. I love the honey colored yarn and the lacy wings. I just might have to knit this one in adult size for myself!!
Now I may be a bit partial to this one, considering it’s my own design, but come on, how fun is this baby fox hat and mittens set?
This is a really simple and easy to knit design, perfect for a beginner or someone who wants to experiment with colorwork knitting. The mittens feature foxy faces on one side and paw prints on the other!
Now I know I tend to be a little obsessed with all things foxy, but this blanket is super cute! I love how easy it is to customize as well. You could easily knit it with girly colors, boyish colors, or even rainbow stripes!
I adore the colorwork and wooden buttons on this cute hoodie/cardigan. It looks so comfy!
I’ve already added this project to my needles, so I’ll be sure to let you all know how it turns out when it’s finished up! I might just have to knit one for all the littles in my life!
We’ve all seen plenty of newborn knitting patterns for booties, but have you ever seen one for baby sneakers? These cutie shoes even have knit laces! Perfect for the super stylish little lad or lady in your life.
Speaking of baby booties, these ones are just so sweet! I love the color combination and the little bit of color work knitting used in the pattern.
I’ve been seeing these all over Pinterest and I must say, where are the adult versions?! This knitted sleeping bag looks insanely cozy and I’ll definitely be knitting up a few of these in different colors! I love the cables and the cute buttons!
I adore this newborn knitting pattern as well as its execution in the photos. The chosen yarn is woodsy and sweet… I’m sure this romper would look adorable on any baby!
These cute knitted farm critters would look adorable in the nursery of a brand new baby! These could easily function as both decor and soft baby toys. This Etsy seller has a huge collection of knitting patterns for stuffed critters, be sure to check them all out before decking out your nursery!
Now I need to stop writing and get out my knitting needles because I’m super inspired to get knitting some of these fun patterns for my preggo friends! There are going to be some stylin’ babies around here in a few months!
